Ban the export of all Guyana gold and have heavy penalties for people doing this. All gold mined in Guyana should be bought by the state in US currency at spot price plus one percent of spot price. Use some of the oil money to do this. The state should store the gold in safe underground vaults in secure locations guarded by the military and police.

The Guyana currency should be backed by this Guyana gold. One gold grain equals one Guyana dollar. Every Guyana dollar bill should have a small gold color square symbolizing this.

Nice one, Roy.  But Guyana gold and silver are already stored in the vault at the Bank of Guyana. They are being used for collateral when the Government has to borrow money. Silver, diamond, and Gold bring in a lot of revenue for the country. Guyana has a reserve of $35B in Gold.

Nero is that 35 billion Guyana dollars?. I don't think Silver is mined in Guyana. So if Guyana has silver then it is imported.
