The Govt of Guyana is doing many ofthe right on things to develop the country. They may have made some mistakes but that is expected with so much happening so fast.

1: Education - check on many levels including scholarships.

2: Healthcare - check. See the number of new hospitals being constructed and free pharmaceuticals provided to people.

3: Housing - check. See the number of house lots and homes distributed across the nation

4: Public infrastructure - check. All across the country their are roads and bridges being constructed, new schoolh, healthcare and recreation facilities etc.

5: Private investment - check. This is being facilitated in all sectors and their is an investment climate that encourages it. It is happening in construction, manufacturing, agriculture, mining. It is also happening in non oil and non traditional areas like corn, soya, fish and shrimp farming etc.

6: Tax reduction - check. Just look at the 200+ taxes removed that put more disposable income in people's pockets.

7: Building out the non oil sector - check. Non oil growth has been improving every year since 2020. For this year it is at a 12% increase YOY so far.

All of the above contributes to consumer confidence and this is visible all across the country - increase in vehicle ownership, increase in airconditioned homes, number of homes with washing machines and hot water, the mood of people of all ethnicities.

The progress is palpable and I maintain that the country will be unrecognizable in five years. The signs of economic improvement are already visible everywhere - markets, restaurants, home ownership, recreational endeavors.

NOTE: regarding inflation; this is a worldwide phenom ATM. It is not unique to Guyana.
